The president of Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) Mr. Muga Rajbhandari concedes that Montreal's Nepali population is tiny but the needs for their quake-stricken homeland are great.

There has been some misleading information floating across the social media and online news channels. Some of those are guaranteed job offer and visa including anyone could come to Canada from Nepal. We have found the authentic information from Government of Canada website as below. 

In the Canadian context a permanent resident is someone who has been given permanent resident status by immigrating to Canada, but is not a Canadian citizen. Permanent residents are citizens of other countries.
