Nepalese are proud of a group of Nepalese women climbers including Nimdoma Sherpa, Maya Gurung, Asha Singh, Chunu Shrestha, Pema Dikki and Shailee Basnet who returned home Friday after becoming the first all-women team to climb the highest mountains on all seven continents.

The quest begun in 2008 by climbing Mount Everest in Asia, then Kosciuszko in Australia, Elbrus in Europe, Kilimanjaro in Africa, Aconcagua in South America, Denali or McKinley in North America and now Mount Vinson in Antarctica on Dec. 23.

The team received a warm welcome at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Nepal on January 9, 2015.
