Canadian Immigration measures to the earthquake in Nepal

There has been some misleading information floating across the social media and online news channels. Some of those are guaranteed job offer and visa including anyone could come to Canada from Nepal. We have found the authentic information from Government of Canada website as below.

Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander announced that, effective immediately, Canada will be prioritizing the processing of ‎visa applications already in progress on request from those who are significantly and personally affected by one of the earthquakes in Nepal that occurred on April 25th and May 12th, 2015.‎ This announcement was originally published on April 27 and updated on May 14, 2015

What does it mean to you?

Requests from Nepalese citizens temporarily in Canada who need to extend their stay will be assessed in a compassionate and flexible manner.

In support of these measures, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has set up a special email address and a dedicated phone line to respond to requests from applicants and their families.
